ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bruce J. Annett, Jr. has written news and features about hundreds
of individuals as well as about institutions, events, and history
during his career in communications and public affairs at Lawrence
Technological University and earlier, with DePauw University. He has
also served as a communication consultant to a variety of community
non-profit and public service organizations. Long interested in local
and organizational history, Annett established Lawrence Tech’s
University Archives and has been a director of the Oakland County
Pioneer and Historical Society since 1978. The recipient of over 30
national awards for communication excellence and achievement, Annett
is a graduate of Albion College and Michigan State University.
